PTO

The success of the students at Round Valley School is the direct result of an extensive

partnership with our community and our parents. Community support comes in many

forms that include monetary gifts, donations of merchandise and services, and the contribution

of time from the many volunteers that help at our school on a regular basis.

Round Valley School has a very successful Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO), instrumental

for providing assistance in the areas of classroom activities, planning and creating

our annual Fall Festival, serving on decorating committees, and as dance chaperones,

yearbook advisors, Student Council advisors, Science Fair judges, Spelling Bee

coaches, speech contest coaches, and athletic coaches. In addition, our parents are extremely

valuable in the Round Valley School Art Program and Ski Program.

Round Valley School also enjoys an active School Site Council (SSC), which is made up

of 50% parents and 50% staff. The SSC is utilized for the purpose of ongoing analysis of

school data, continuous planning for school improvement, and the development of our

School Improvement Plan (SIP). We encourage parent participation on the SSC; membership

is established through a nomination and voting procedure.

The staff members at Round Valley School deeply appreciate the tremendous support we

receive from our community and parents.
